Douglas T. (Tim) Hall

Douglas T. (Tim) Hall is the Morton H. and Charlotte Friedman Professor of Management Emeritus in the Questrom School of Business at Boston University and Founding Director of the Boston University Executive Development Roundtable. He also served as Acting Dean and Associate Dean for Faculty Development, as well as Faculty Director for MBA Programs at Questrom. He was a Visiting Professor at IESE Business School in Barcelona, at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, at the Columbia Business School, at the Center on Work & Family at Boston College. He was Smith Richardson, Jr., Visiting Fellow at the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL), and the Earl Dean Professor of Organizational Behavior and Department Chair at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern.

Tim has served on the boards of the Academy of Management and the Center for Creative Leadership. Recent books which he co-authored or co-edited were Understanding Careers Around the World: Stories and Sourcebook, Careers Around the World,  Extraordinary Leadership, and Peer Coaching at Work. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Management, the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and the American Psychological Association. He is the recipient of the American Psychological Association’s James McKeen Cattell Award, the Academy of Management’s Everett Cherrington Hughes Award, and the Boston University Marion Gislason Award.
